Delphinium for Candle Labels and Handmade Packaging

One afternoon, while working on a new line of soy candles, I reached for Delphinium to add a touch of elegance to the labels. The font’s fluid, upright strokes gave each label a delicate, artisanal feel that perfectly matched the handmade quality of the products. Whether used for the candle name or a short tagline, Delphinium added a refined aesthetic without overwhelming the design.

On small labels, the font remained legible, especially when paired with a clean sans serif for contrast. I found it ideal for short phrases like “Lavender & Sage” or “Coconut Vanilla,” where the dotted script felt just right. For packaging, Delphinium elevated the overall look, making the product feel more premium and thoughtfully designed.

Delphinium for Greeting Cards and Wedding Stationery

When designing a set of wedding invitations, I wanted something that felt personal yet polished. Delphinium fit the bill. Its poetic grace made it perfect for titles, names, and decorative elements. I used it for the couple’s names and a heartfelt quote, and it brought a soft, romantic mood to the design.

On cards, Delphinium worked best in larger sizes, where its fluidity could shine. It paired beautifully with a simple serif font for body text, creating a balanced and elegant layout. For handmade businesses, this font is a great addition to any stationery collection, offering a unique voice that stands out from more common script fonts.

Delphinium for Digital Printables and Printable Wall Art

I tested Delphinium on a printable wall art template, and it transformed the design. The font’s light, dotted style added a whimsical touch that was both modern and timeless. It worked well for phrases like “Dream Big” or “Stay Positive,” giving the print a handcrafted feel that resonated with my audience.

For digital downloads, Delphinium’s versatility made it easy to use across different platforms. Whether printed at home or sent to a local print shop, the font maintained its character. I recommend using it for titles, headers, and decorative text rather than long blocks of copy, as its ornate details can become difficult to read in smaller sizes.

Delphinium for Boutique Tags and Seasonal Crafts

During the holiday season, I used Delphinium on tags for gift boxes and handmade ornaments. The font’s upright structure kept it from looking too messy, even when used in a more festive context. It worked well for phrases like “Handmade with Love” or “Season’s Greetings,” adding a touch of class to every item.

For seasonal crafts, Delphinium’s lightness made it ideal for farmhouse signs, rustic tags, and holiday cards. It blended well with other vintage or distressed elements, enhancing the handmade vibe without clashing. Just be mindful of spacing and size—too much text or tiny cuts can make the font less readable.

Delphinium for Tote Bags and Merchandise Design

When designing a tote bag for a client, I chose Delphinium for the main text. The font’s fluidity gave the design a soft, artistic edge that complemented the bag’s casual style. It looked great in bold, centered text, and the dotted script added a subtle charm that caught the eye.

On merchandise, Delphinium worked best for short phrases and logos. I paired it with a bold display font for contrast, which helped maintain clarity. For commercial use, I checked the font’s licensing to ensure it was suitable for printing on fabric and other materials. Delphinium’s high-quality design made it a reliable choice for branding and product presentation.
